Jenny Krainski began her career composing poetry and short stories, now she is exclusively writing novels. With an Ed.S. degree in education and a graduate degree in special education, she has worked as a teacher of various grades. Jenny enjoys spending time with her family, playing her harp, hiking, and swimming. She lives in western Massachusetts with her son and husband.
The Leader of Nature
The villagers from Deep in the Forest embark on a journey in search of unanswered questions to an odd burial. A body was discovered not too far from their village, which made them very uncomfortable. Who was this person? Why did the death occur in such a peculiar fashion? Where did the person come from? Unbeknownst to his comrades, one of the villagers, Shard, knows something about the unusual situation. He does not alert his friends, so as not to alarm them any further. When embarking on this journey, the group comes across ominous caverns and a unique tribe of people, which again furthers their interest. Making matters more bizarre, a group member disappears after screaming in the night. Soon, it is apparent that the group is not alone. Discover how a journey that started out to satisfy curiosity rapidly turns into a fearful fight to stay alive.
Mr. Brent, Janey’s neighbor, is mysterious in so many ways. His outlandish parties and obsession with his lawn are enough to raise alarm in anyone. Janey’s attention is diverted from him, however, when she begins to receive strange packages without a return address. It’s bad enough that this is happening, but then her beloved cousin dies under questionable circumstances. All roads somehow lead back to Mr. Brent, and he always seems to look innocent . . . or does he?

Deep in the Forest
This is an adventure story about a young woman, Lave, who flees her home due to many years of abuse. In pursuit of a better life and a place where she will be accepted, she finds a baby abandoned in the woods. Together, they find a hidden village deep in the forest. Much to their horror, the village is ruled by a ruthless man who controls all of the inhabitants of the village. With no where else to turn, Lave is forced to live there, only soon to be blamed for something terrible that she did not do. The ruler then stalks her and the young boy, following them to underground fortresses, the inside of seemingly forgotten trees, and through the dense, dark forest. Along the way, Lave meets a variety of colorful personalities and has the adventure of a lifetime.

Join Fran, the mother of a very abnormal teenager, on a journey to find answers in her son’s strange after-death reappearance. Jeremy, her teenage son, begins to harm people for no apparent reason and then disappears. Fran tries to solve this horrifying mystery on her own and finds her sanity creeping away from her. She then teams up with some curious people, and their journey pursuing the “undead” teen ultimately takes them where they may never return. Fran finds that she will reveal deadly secrets that should have been left buried.
